New addition very soon..
Now I expect this has you all wondering what the heck I am talking about..lol. But then if you should know me by now and know that I am totally loopy and it wont be something simple..lol. Well I am going to surprise you..it is something simple..:-)
We passed the house visit for CPL to give the go ahead for us to have our new furbaby :-) Although I would have been surprised if we hadnt seeing as we had already been passed a couple of years earlier by the RSPCA for when we got Scruffy, and I already had Smudge as well. Now if it had been my mother doing this home visit I think she would have denied us on principle purely because I have been my usual pigheaded self and havent spoken to her since April of this year. But then to tell you the truth I wouldnt have let her in anyway, and I really do think if she had got me down as one of her home visits she would have passed it on to someone else. Anyway going back to the visit, it went really well. The house was absolutely spotless, seeing as I had done a 2 hour blitz right through the house cleaning and hoovering before the visit. Even Smudge was obliging by being all purrey and cute when we went upstairs to see her. Scruffy was his usual self - ooh a friend lets lick them and show them how sweet I am..
So now tomorrow morning we go and get ourselves a new furbaby :-) I am really excited.. We've decided that we wont get a kitten, and have asked for an older cat - 1year and upwards. I shall see what they have at the sanctuary and which kitty jumps out at me :-)
Await pictures :-)

Just some piccies of my pets :-)
This is Barney and Scruffybear asleep together, back in August of this year. Not long before she died sadly.
And this is of Smudge and Barney in August 2005 too. For some reason Smudge is playing lets expose all my belly to the camera :-) And Barney is not quite sure..I think she wants to go back to sleep..lol
And finally this is the lovely Clematis that is planted on Barney's grave in the herb garden at the back of my garden. We have also got a stone ornament resting next to it, in one of Barney's favourite poses - asleep.
Back from Cornwall...
So after downloading over 2000 emails from my groups. Ok now why didnt I go no mail or special notices beforehand, maybe cos I am a twit..lol. Watching a bit of t.v., walking to get a doner kebab for tea and generally just perusing the boards and blogs that I read I think I am ready for bed.
Was a bit annoyed though as the usual suspect had been reading my blog, now I have no problem with them reading this but when they put comments on there that are totally out of order I do mind. Thank gods I have comments pending before I enable them to be seen on the blog. Well the laugh is on them as they are now unable to post as the IP has been banned to comment, although they can still read my blog but not comment..which I think would wind them up more than not being able to see it. And for their information I am not playing away from home again..D knows all about what I posted.. Go and take your pettiness elsewhere...
Ok now thats over and done with, my bed is calling.
I will be posting my holiday blog over the next couple of days with pictures :-) So keep checking this space guys.. :-) But as a teaser here's a piccie :

Sent to coventry by cat..
Today has been a nonstarter...
Wow dont I lead an exciting life, nope dont answer that..lol.
Haven't heard from M this week, I bet he - has got his dates muddled up again and thinks I am going away this week even after I specifically told him I was going this weekend. What a twit!! Better send him a letter to tell him that D will also be at home the week after Cornwall. Gods I wouldnt want him to turn up here while D is home..gods how awful would that be.
Smudge has disowned me at the moment, I think she thinks I am the devil incarnate cos I had the indignaty to give her a worm tablet and de-flea her. Although it might have had something to do with the fact the worm tablet was pretty big and I had to smother it in fish paste and practically throw it down her throat..lol. Still she'll come round when its feeding time.
Yep definately an exciting life..lol

Round of applause for England :-)
Yesterday, good old England won The Ashes. For anyone that doesnt know this is a major cricket game. I'm not normally a follower, but for some reason I watched the final day and thoroughly enjoyed it. And it was an achievement for good old England, considering we are always getting beaten by the Aussies. This is the first time we have won it since 1987 too. And the players arent that bad looking either, much better than they used to look a long time ago...mmmmmmm
Today they did a lap around the main parts of London in a double decker bus, which ended up in Trafalgar Square where there was a massive party in the street, and good old Jerusalem got sung several times.
D wasnt aware of what was going on till he got to work this morning, and the place was surrounded by police. Boy was he a lucky thing, the england cricket team were staying in the hotel next to where he works (HSBC). But he didnt get me any autographs, although he said a few of them did see the the cricket players when they left to do the lap of honour around London.
And for a really spooky coincidence, we were talking about when the last match was won which was 1987 and this one was won this year..and it transpired that my darling Barney was born in 1987, which was when we got her and she died this year 2005. Ok it may not seem spooky to some, but for some reason I am really feeling a strong affinity with this. That cat was definately a special one, and she was my familiar too so of course she was special.!! Every now and again you get a special cat come along and I was fortunate to own that cat :-)
The roads are empty
I even managed to get petrol, although the checkout then cut my pump off as it was running down to its end..I think I ran them out..lol. The queue wasnt that bad at our Asda, but the other petrol stations were running out almost the same time as Asda shut their petrol station. I must admit I got to the pump after someone else had used it, and she had only put £5.00 in..I mean couldnt she have actually left it till next week or something..

MOT's and Petrol
Had a gruesome wake up this morning, D's alarm went off at 5am. ACK 5am on a Saturday morning,, ugh!! Anyway I didnt get out and into the shower till 6.00am, I just couldnt face the 5am..lol. Now I expect you are wondering why on earth I would want to get up at this unholy hour..well let me tell you. My little green car had to go into be serviced and MOT'd, but the garage is an hours drive away and it had to be there for 8am. So that meant setting off at 7am..ugh!! And of course I had to follow D in his car as I didnt know where on earth I was going, and while my car was in the garage we were going to go to Swanley to investigate their Asda till about midday.
Well I got to the garage safe and sound, and booked the car in and then we toodled off to Swanley. Never again..Swanley is a dive!! It has nothing going for it apart for a huge Asda Superstore. I mean how can they say you can have 4 hours free parking in the carpark, there isnt anything to do. The town centre consists of a collection 10 shops in the square, and thats it!! Wow! So we spent half an hour walking to the Station in the hope that the town centre was somewhere else, but no, after I had asked someone we found out it was where we thought it was.. Back to Asda we toodled, did our weekly shopping, and I treated myself to some new bras. Yep I know exciting eh..lol. Oh and I did buy a new pair of trainers with the tickled pink logo on. So I am pleased with them and shall be trying them out on holiday. Well thats if we go..
Well after trying to kill time in Asda we then poodled back to the garage and sat in the foyer drinking chilled water and watching cricket, for an hour. Now in this time I saw loads of people moving in an out of the garage. It was fascinating to do a bit of people watching, well certainly better than cricket.
The good news is that my little car has passed its MOT for another year, and it didnt need any work done during the service apart from the usual bits, change oil, brake fluid etc.. Although I should bloody hope that it had passed cos the car isnt even 3 years old yet...lol.
And now onto the petrol..D went onto our Asda home here on route home this afternoon from the garage, while I went home and pottered around for a while. Well after he was gone for over half an hour I was starting to get worried, but it turned out that he had to drive around Sittingbourne to find a petrol station that had fuel. YES Asda had run out of fuel - absolutely none available. Am I glad I filled my car up yesterday evening at 9.30pm..although D is now saying that it was me that emptied them of fuel..lol. And while he was trying to find petrol 3 other stations had run out..he did eventually find one but not the same price as Asda..(93.9p per litre) - he ended up paying 96.p per litre.
So it looks like maybe this petrol strike on Wednesday is looking nearer and nearer to happening. So I think we may have to wave goodbye to our holiday in Cornwall this year. :-( Could be an interesting fortnight you can only walk so far in this town..lol

OMG I cannot believe I never posted about my reveal stash!!!
I couldnt believe it when I opened up my last parcel, what a lovely surprise I got. there was the most gorgeous piece 28ct Pale Pink Cashel, its absolutely adorable I so love the colour..you know me so well with my colours :-) Then I had another surprise which was a Just Nan chart - The Promise:
Jill had previously sent me the fabric and threads to do this chart in another package :-)
I absolutely love this chart and it certainly will take pride of place on my wall once I have stitched it :-) I am going to make it my holiday stitching, inbetween RR's. So once it is stitched I shall post a picture on here :-)
I also received the most gorgeous scissors - I cannot describe how I felt when I opened the nicely wrapped package and saw these scissors. They are the most adorable pair I have ever seen - I'm not sure what make they are, my friend seem sto think they are Gingher - but I dont know this make. All I do know is they are way superior to the english scissors we have here. I have put the scissor fob on them that I received in a previous parcel from Jill, and they look really good together :-)
There was also some Wildflower threads in with the package too :-) There was also a lovely little freebie chart called Coeur Romantique, which I shall stitch with the wildflower threads. I have a feeling there was a couple more things but for the life of me I cannot remember, think its called brain fog..sorry Jill.
Thank you so much Jill, I have had some gorgeous presents :-)

Petrol strikes - I dont believe it..
So now after speaking to D he has told me we might not be going on holiday in a couple of weeks time. I dont believe it..I was really looking forward to this break as I have always wanted to go to Cornwall. Well Boscastle to be exact! I wanted to go to the Witchcraft Museum and Bodmin Moor. But no..even that little bit of happiness is going to be taken away from me by the bastards of the Fuel Lobby, that take it upon themselves to protest outside all the petrol supplier plants, and cause massive inconvenience to everyone. Which is now going to cause mass hysteria amongst shoppers, so we are going to have mass buying in the supermarkets and mass buying of petrol at the petrol stations, which in turn is going to make it unsafe as people are going to hoard petrol in the their garages and possibly cause fire risks.
As you can tell I am extremely miffed about this..not a little bit but a bloody lot.
I mean is cutting the tax on petrol really going to do any good, its going to take at least a month for the petrol to start coming down in price if it does work. And then the government is going to think of something else anyway, to get their tax back. I mean you cant just cut a tax without getting something in return can you..our government is not like that.
Anyway here is the url for those interested: Petrol protests

Pondering ...
- Bills travel through the mail at twice the speed of checks
- The colder the x-ray table the more of your body is required on it.
- Why is the butter always hard when you have extremely soft bread..
- Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker?
- When cheese gets its picture taken, what does it say?
- Why are a wise man and a wise guy opposite?
- If horrific means to make horrible, does terrific mean to make terrible?
- Why isn't 11 pronounced onety one?
- If lawyers are disbarred and clergymen defrocked, doesn't it follow that electricians can be delighted, musicians denoted, cowboys deranged, models deposed, tree surgeons debarked and dry cleaners depressed?
- If all is not lost, where is it?
- If vegetable oil comes from vegetables, where does baby oil come from?
- What was the best thing before sliced bread?
- Why isn't there mouse-flavored cat food?
- If all those psychics know the winning lottery numbers, why are they all still working?
Asbestos or not asbestos..that is the question.
