It seems that Ollie my 5yr old boy cat is turning out to be a bit of a hunter. After already managing to catch a bird the other day, although I don't know how he did it, he came running in this morning with a wee sparrow in his mouth. Oh what fun that was, he decided to run upstairs and sit on the middle landing step with it in his mouth. After a bit of time growling at D, he did manage to give it up, only for this bird to fly under the carpet piece we have on this step.. D did eventually get it after throwing a dirty teatowel over it, and gently picking it up. The poor little bird was still alive thankfully, but wasn't squawking, and Ollie didn't really seem that interested in it now it was moving around. D let went outside, and off it flew quite happily into the forsythia bush in the garden. So that was a happy ending thankfully :-)
Thank gods Ollie doesn't wander out of the garden or I dread to think what he would come home with..lol
